The beautiful Xanthosoma has long hastate leaves dark green with white veins. The petiole is dark brown with small hair/fuzz-like texture.
These can actually grow quite tall if given the right care (humidity, light and warmth). Think 4 feet tall :)
Comes in an 6" pot.
Water it when the soil dries out slightly a couple inches down but no more. Does not like to get too dry or too wet.
Give it good bright indirect light.
Fertilize a couple of times a year to keep it at its best. You can fertilize more frequently if you want. Use any houseplant fertilizer and be sure to follow the instructions on the product packaging.
This plant undergoes reclassification regularly. Currently I believe it is in the Phyllotaenium genus.
