Plant Hardiness Zone Guide

Understanding Plant Hardiness Zones

Plant hardiness zones help you choose plants that will thrive in your climate. The USDA Plant Hardiness Zone Map divides North America into 13 zones based on average annual minimum winter temperatures.

How to Use This Guide

Each zone represents a 10°F difference in the average annual minimum temperature. When you know your hardiness zone, you can select plants that are rated to survive the coldest temperatures in your area.
