Each zone represents a 10°F difference in the average annual minimum temperature. When you know your hardiness zone, you can select plants that are rated to survive the coldest temperatures in your area.

To find your hardiness zone, enter your zip code on the USDA Plant Hardiness Zone Map.
Common Zones
- Zone 3: -40°F to -30°F
- Zone 4: -30°F to -20°F
- Zone 5: -20°F to -10°F
- Zone 6: -10°F to 0°F
- Zone 7: 0°F to 10°F
- Zone 8: 10°F to 20°F
- Zone 9: 20°F to 30°F
- Zone 10: 30°F to 40°F
